- Ensure that you have your all other supporting documents, exactly as per the "Documents Checklist" section.
- Visit the SGIVS ICAC, as per your jurisdiction. The address and location of the ICAC will be clearly mentioned in the appontment letter.
- Kindly ensure you reach the ICAC 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.
- Submit your application and deposit your fees at SGIVS ICAC. You can check the fee for this application under the "Fee Details" section.

Documents Checklist for NRI Certificate for Educational Purposes:
- Duly filled in Miscellaneous application form. Click Here to download the form.
- Copy of all the pages of current Indian passport including first and last page. Please do not skip any page of the passport.
- Duly filled form for details of all the entry and exit stamps from India. Click Here to download the form.
- Duly filled Affidavit for declaring that the requester has stayed for more than 182 days outside India in the fiscal year mentioned in the affidavit. Click Here to download the affidavit.
- Copy of the Visa / Resident Permit
- Copy of Residence Proof / City Registration (Meldebescheinigung / Anmeldung).
- Payment Proof (in case of Postal Application).
- The applicant must bring one passport-size photo with them, and all documents must be self-attested.
